Testimonials:

“Jennifer Kay is an extraordinary editor. With a background in engineering and the arts, she has a sharp eye for world-building detail and a strong sense of narrative structure. And she’s an industry professional who delivers prompt and generous feedback. Jen helped me polish a manuscript for submission, and I highly recommend her editorial services.”

Ashley Walker

“Jen’s method of writing a running commentary of every thought she had about my story while she read it was extremely helpful. She identified both the strengths of my story and the elements that distracted the reader. She had good insight into why something was not working and what might work instead. She was also able to suggest how I could build on the strengths of the piece. After receiving Jen’s feedback, I felt even more positive about my story, but also understood the concrete steps I could take to make it stronger.”

Robin Galbraith

“Jennifer Kay is an amazing editor! She was brilliantly able to use both sides of her brain and expertly edit my manuscript for technical issues while also reflecting on mood, pacing, character development and the overall dynamic of the manuscript. Her comments are detailed, clear, and professional. I highly recommend Jennifer Kay for her editorial services. You won’t be disappointed.”

Michelle Houghton

“Jennifer Kay has an eye for details. She notices the small details that work to build story and character. While commenting on the details that add to the writing, she asks questions about the details that need work and offers suggestions on ways to make both story and character stronger. Her comments help make the writing shine and encourage growth in the writer.”
